What is More to Life Than This?
More to Life is a project to gather information from the point of view of people. An intent to undo the filter of companies to distribute users in shells away from each other. The internet should be a portal for worldwide communication, but users are been filtered into categories, which makes a barrier of communication between different people. Inside the internet environment we stereotype ourselves, and we discriminate against other people. Thus, making our world smaller. Don't take this the wrong way There is a difference between discriminating and categorizing (Inside the internet). I am not against clubs, or communities of people that have things in common. More to Life is about having a diverse group of people sharing information about their thoughts and experience to help each other expand, and/or understand their surroundings. Things that you do and think but you don’t give yourself a chance to share it.
If you're an aspiring Journalist, or studying communication this is a great opportunity for you to participate and learn. There is nothing to lose, and much you could learn from other bloggers' writing styles.
If you already discovered what blogs are all about, then you know that you can have your own online diary. If not then go to Link to read the definition of blog. Now, what is so interesting about you that people should read everything about your life??? We are all special indeed, but we must admit that some days go by slowly with nothing very juicy to blog about.
Our vision of a More to Life description could be as a "Blog Magazine", where you can post a more than 500 word essay about something.
Does It Have To Be an Article or Essay?
No, it can be an: article, composition, discourse, discussion, disquisition, explication, exposition, manuscript, paper, piece, study, theme, thesis, tract, treatise. You don't necessarily have to write something exclusively for More To Life. It can be a previous posting on your blog that you like. It doesn't have to be recent either.
Free writing is allowed!, write in prose if you wish, just as long as it makes sense.
Requirements For Essays
You don't need to be a pro writer, as long as your essay:
Is at least 500 words. (Approximately 4 paragraphs with 7 lines each)
Readable.
In English.
Has a brief context intro. (Example: I am John from NY)
About something, or some situation in particular.
Does not contain sexual oriented material.
And that is it!
Requirements for Poems
Does not contain sexual oriented material.
At least two paragraphs.
In English.
Has to be created by you.

More to Life is meant to be for every one, your essays should not contain anything offensive to anyone. You may question, criticize and wonder, as long a you keep in mind that you are not perfect yourself.
The English you use must be complete.Avoid writing in "e-slang" such as the language we use when we send sms. Example.

dunno = don't know
Essays submitted that contain e-slang would be corrected and published only if it's topic is eligible. Keep in mind that this would delay the time of publishing.

More to Life is composed by two members at this time because it is just beginning. My girlfriend Susan and me, Caesar.
